Seed Swap event (2022) is a rewarding way to build community and share information about gardening, plant varieties, and each other’s gardening projects before the spring starts. Seeds of spinach, okra, yucca, curry leaves, eggplant, tomato, bitter guard, snake guard, squash, basil and long beans were shared and exchanged during the event. Gardening tips were given by our all-time pros and young generation got a lot of tips on proper gardening and maintenance.
A three-month-long AMAA Fitness challenge (2022) gave an opportunity for all community members to strive to shred some mass and get fit. Community members were asked to report the steps achieved every week. The challenge was split based on age group (under 40 & above 40), and winners were recognized at the end of the 10-week challenge.
2022 Meet and Greet was a platform for everyone in the community to get out of their nests and meet new family members who joined the community. Also, this event set a forum to meet people in person after two long pandemic years. While the community met, young kids had a great time playing a small game of soccer. At the end of the event, the AMAA 2022 committee kicked off the AMAA Fitness challenge.
2022 Kids Krafternoon An effort led and hosted by Sara Samuel, allowed AMAA kids to come together and enjoy a fun time with arts and crafts. Several kids participated in this event and had a great time with clay, colors, and paints. Kids made many crafts. This gave them a forum to bring out the creativity in them.
